AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR THE CITY
MANAGER'S DESIGNEE, TO ACCEPT A GRANT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $91,999 FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF
JUSTICE, BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE FOR FUNDING
ELIGIBLE UNDER THE FY 2004 LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT
BLOCK GRANTS PROGRAM TO PURCHASE LAW
ENFORCEMENT EQUIPMENT FOR THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT; WITH A CITY MATCH OF $10,222 IN THE NO.
1061 FUND, FOR TOTAL PROJECT COST OF $102,221.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, is authorized to
accept a grant in the amount of $91,999 from the U.S. Department of Justice,
Bureau of Justice Assistance for funding eligible under the FY 2004 Local Law
Enforcement Block Grants Program to purchase law enforcement equipment for
the Police Department. The City match for this grant is $10,222 in the No. 1061
Fund, for total project cost of $102,221.
SECTION 2. The City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, may accept,
reject, agree to alter the terTns and conditions, or terminate the grant, if the grant
is awarded to the City.
