HomeMy WebLinkAbout025978 ORD - 09/28/2004ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $107,000 FROM THE IN THE NO. 3160 CITY HALL CIP FUND FOR LEGAL SERVICES RELATED TO PIPELINES IN THE CITY'S RIGHTS-OF-WAY, UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND FACILITIES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $107,000 is appropriated in the No. 3160 City Hall CIP Fund for legal services related to pipelines in the City's rights-of-way, utility easements, and facilities. SECTION 2. That upon wdtten request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance?..p_~ssed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure on this the ~ ~'day of ~ ,2004.
