HomeMy WebLinkAbout026024 ORD - 11/16/2004 ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $13,299 FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION IN THE NO. 1061 POLICE GRANTS FUND FOR THE YEAR 5 FUNDING FOR THE COMPUTER FORENSICS SPECIALIST GRANT AND TRANSFERRING $45,977 FROM THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND AND APPROPRIATING IT IN THE NO. 1061 POLICE GRANT FUND AS GRANT MATCHING FUNDS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $13,299 from the State of Texas, Criminal Justice Division is appropriated in the NO.1 061 Police Grants Fund for the year 5 funding for the Computer Forensics Specialist Grant and transferring $45,977 from the No. 1020 General Fund and appropriating it in the No. 1061 Police Grant Fund as grant matching funds. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ~ day of f\/r{\I-U.rJH'A- , 2004.
