RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR THE CITY MANAGER'S
DESIGNEE, TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$49,998 TO THE STATE OF TEXAS, TEXAS ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE
COMMISSION FOR THE FUNDING OF OVERTIME TO ENFORCE
UNDERAGE DRINKING LAWS AND TO PREVENT YOUTH ACCESS TO, AND
ILLEGAL USE OF ALCOHOL, WITH A CITY MATCH OF $23,800 IN THE NO.
1061 TRUST FUND, FOR A TOTAL PROJECT COST OF $73,798.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the submission of a grant
application in the amount of $49,998 to the State of Texas, Texas Alcoholic
Beverage Commission for the funding of overtime to enforce underage drinking
laws and to prevent youth access to, and illegal use of alcohol.
SECTION 2. The City of Corpus Christi will provide matching grant funds in the
amount of $23,800.
SECTION 3. In the event of the loss or misuse of these funds, the City of Corpus
Christi assures that the funds will be returned to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage
Commission in full.
