RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR THE CITY MANAGER'S
DESIGNEE, TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$63,011 TO THE STATE OF TEXAS, OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR,
CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION, FOR YEAR 1 FUNDING OF A CRIME SCENE
TECHNICIAN GRANT FOR THE CORPUS CHRISTI POLICE DEPARTMENT,
WITH A CITY MATCH OF $3,500 IN THE NO. 1061 TRUST FUND, FOR A
TOTAL PROJECT COST OF $66,511,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1, The City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, is authorized to
submit a grant application to the State of Texas, Office of the Governor, Criminal
Justice Division, in the amount of $63,011 for Year 1 funding of a Crime Scene
Technician grant for the Corpus Christi Police Department. The City match for
this grant is $3,500 in the No 1061 Trust Fund, for a total project cost of
$66,511
SECTION 2. The City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, may apply for,
accept, reject, agree to alter the terms and conditions, or terminate the grant, if
the grant is awarded to the City.
SECTION 3, In the event of the loss or misuse of these Criminal Justice Division
funds, the City of Corpus Christi assures that the funds will be returned to the
Criminal Justice Division in full.
