HomeMy WebLinkAbout026158 ORD - 02/22/2005 ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $214,007.61 FROM UNAPPROPRIATED INTEREST EARNINGS AND $27,293.39 FROM ANTICIPATED INTEREST EARNINGS FROM BASEBALL STADIUM 2004 CIP FUND NO. 3276 FOR THE WHATABURGER FIELD; AMENDING THE CAPITAL BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 025647 BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS BY $241,301; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $241,007.61 is appropriated from unappropriated interest earnings and $27.293.39 from anticipated interest earnings from Baseball Stadium 2004 CIP Fund No. 3276 for the Whataburger Field. SECTION 2. The Capital Budget adopted by Ordinance No. 025647 is amended by increasing appropriations by $241,301. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and tCikes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the cJJhi day of J8M\?J~1lY:J2005.
