HomeMy WebLinkAbout026182 RES - 03/29/2005 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF TEXAS, OFFICE OF GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION IN THE AMOUNT OF $12,413 FOR THE JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM TO REDUCE JUVENILE DELINQUENCY, IMPROVE THE JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEM, AND INCREASE ACCOUNTABILITY OF JUVENILE OFFENDERS, WITH A CITY MATCH OF $1,379 IN THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND, AND A TOTAL PROJECT COST OF $13,792 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to submit a grant application to the State of Texas, Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, in the amount of $12,413 for the Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant Program to reduce juvenile delinquency, improve the juvenile justice system, and increase accountability of juvenile offenders. The City match for this grant is $1,379 in the NO.1 020 General Fund, for a total project costs of $13,792. SECTION 2, The City Manager, or designee, may accept, reject, agree to alter the terms and conditions, or terminate the grant, if the grant is awarded to the City, SECTION 3. In the event of the loss or misuse of these funds, the City of Corpus Christi assures that the funds will be returned to the State of Texas, Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, in full.
