RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO ACCEPT A
GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $12,587 FROM THE TEXAS STATE
LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES COMMISSION AND TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT AND ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS AS PART OF THE
BILL AND MELINDA GATES FOUNDATION "STAYING CONNECTED"
PROGRAM FOR THE PURCHASE OF TEN COMPUTERS FOR THE
CENTRAL LIBRARY AND THE GREENWOOD BRANCH LIBRARY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS;
SECTION 1. That the City Manager or designee is authorized to accept a grant in the
amount of $12,587 from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission and to
execute a contract and all related documents as part of the Bill and Melinda Gates
Foundation "Staying Connected" program for the purchase of ten computers for the
Central Library and the Greenwood Branch Library.
SECTION 2. A Gift Agreement with the Corpus Christi Public Library Foundation, Inc.
(Library Foundation) was approved by City Council by Motion No. 2004-152 on April 20,
2004, by which the Library Foundation agreed to provide the City with the required local
matching funds for the Gates Foundation "Staying Connected" program.
