HomeMy WebLinkAbout026229 RES - 04/26/2005 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR THE CITY MANAGER'S DESIGNEE, TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS AUTOMOBILE THEFT PREVENTION AUTHORITY (ATPA) IN THE AMOUNT OF $469,142 TO CONTINUE THE MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT ENFORCEMENT GRANT WITHIN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR YEAR 5, WITH A CITY MATCH OF $8,700 IN THE LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND (NO. 1061 FUND); AND AN IN-KIND CONTRIBUTION OF $164,437, FOR A TOTAL PROJECT COST OF $642,279. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS THAT: SECTION 1. The City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, is authorized to submit a grant application to the Texas Automobile Theft Prevention Authority (A TPA) in the amount of $469,142 to continue the motor vehicle theft enforcement grant within the Police Department for Year 5, The City matches for this grant are $8.700 in the Law Enforcement Trust Fund (No, 1061 Fund); and an in-kind contribution of $164,437, for a total project cost of $642,279. SECTION 2.
