HomeMy WebLinkAbout026295 RES - 06/14/2005 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR THE CITY MANAGER'S DESIGNEE, TO ACCEPT GRANT FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000 FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR AN IMPAIRED DRIVING MOBILIZATION SELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROJECT (STEP) GRANT FOR DWI ENFORCEMENT OVERTIME PAY WITHIN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND TO EXECUTE ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS THAT: SECTION 1. The City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, is authorized to accept grant funding in the amount of $25,000 from the Texas Department of Transportation for an Impaired Driving Mobilization Selective Traffic Enforcement Project (STEP) Grant for OWl enforcement overtime within the police department and for overtime to execute all related documents for the time period of July 1, 2005 through April 30, 2006. SECTION 2. The City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, may accept, reject, agree to alter the terms and conditions, or terminate the grant, if said grant is awarded to the City. SECTION 3. In the event of the loss or misuse of these funds, the City of Corpus Christi assures that the funds will be returned, in full, to the Texas Department of Transportation.
