HomeMy WebLinkAbout026331 ORD - 07/12/2005 ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $11,580 FROM THE TEXAS AUTOMOBILE THEFT PREVENTION AUTHORITY (ATPA) FOR THE MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT ENFORCEMENT GRANT WITHIN THE CORPUS CHRISTI POLICE DEPARTMENT IN THE No. 1061 POLICE GRANTS FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $11,580 from the Texas Automobile Theft Prevention Authority (A TPA) is appropriated in the NO.1 061 Police Grants Fund for funding of the purchase for the Corpus Christi Police Department Motor Vehicle Theft Enforcement Unit of new computers, memory card readers, a presentation board and digital cameras in the No. 1061 Police Grants Fund; and declaring an emergency. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council Members, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs; and, (2) suspends that Charter rule which requires an ordinance to be considered and voted upon at two regular meetings, so that this ordinance is ~sed and t~ ~ffect as an emergency measure upon its first reading, this, the \,y1 "day of ~ ~..( 0- ,2005.
