HomeMy WebLinkAbout026356 ORD - 07/26/2005 ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $26,425 OF REVENUE FROM THE SALE OF OBSOLETE CORPUS CHRISTI POLICE DEPARTMENT (CCPD) WEAPONS IN THE No. 1020 GENERAL FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF CCPD AMMUNITION, AMENDING THE OPERATING BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE 025878 BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS BY $26,425; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $26,425 of revenue from the sale of obsolete CCPD weapons be appropriated in the No. 1020 General Fund for the purpose of purchasing CCPD ammunition, that the Operating Budget adopted via Ordinance 025878 be amended by increasing appropriations by $26,425; and that an emergency is declared due to the need for immediate action for efficient and effective administration of City affairs. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council Members, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs; and, (2) suspends that Charter rule which requires an ordinance to be considered and voted upon at two regular meetings, so that this ordinance is ~Sed and n. k.es ffecl as an emergency measure upon its first reading, this, the J..(;j day of , , 2005. j ATTEST: THE C TY OF CORPUS CHRISTI ;:~ Armando Chapa, C1jty retary ff~~OVI;/ Randy A.
