HomeMy WebLinkAbout026388 ORD - 08/23/2005 ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $7,000 FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION IN THE FY05-06 POLICE GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR THE PURCHASE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY-RELATED EQUIPMENT FOR THE CORPUS CHRISTI POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $7,000 from the Texas Department of Transportation is appropriated in the FY05-06 Police General Fund Budget for the purchase of traffic safety-related equipment, namely, RADAR equipment for the Corpus Christi Police Department; and declaring an emergency. SECTION 2. Therefore, l/we request that you suspend said Charter rule and finally pass this ordinance on the date of its introduction, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
