RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO SUBMIT
A GRANT APPLICATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $35,000 TO THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, DIVISION OF EMERGENCY
MANAGEMENT, HAZARDOUS MATERIALS EMERGENCY
PREPAREDNESS GRANT PROGRAM FOR PUBLIC AWARENESS
BROCHURES, SCHOOL BOOK COVERS, NEWSPAPER ADS,
PRODUCTION AND BROADCAST OF INFOMERCIALS, AND TO
CONDUCT EMERGENCY RESPONSE DRILLS, WITH A CITY SOFT
MATCH OF $7,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or the City Manager's designee, is authorized to submit
a grant application in the amount of $35,000 to the Texas Department of Public Safety
Division of Emergency Management. Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness
Grant Program for public awareness brochures, school book covers, newspaper ads,
production and broadcast of infomercials, and conduct emergency response drills. The
City soft match for this grant is $7,000
