HomeMy WebLinkAbout026533 RES - 11/08/2005 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE A SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT AND ACCEPT A STATE HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR'S DIVISION OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,710,934 FOR THE PURCHASE OF SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT AND PLANNING, TRAINING, AND EXERCISE NEEDS TO ENHANCE CAPABILITIES FOR DETECTING, DETERRING, DISRUPTING, AND PREVENTING ACTS OF TERRORISM. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute a subrecipient agreement and accept a State Homeland Security Grant from the Office of the Governor's Division of Emergency Management in the amount of $1,710,934 for the purchase of specialized equipment and planning, training, and exercise needs to enhance capabilities for detecting, deterring, disrupting, and preventing acts of terrorism ATTEST: J (~ ._-~~~ .=----- Armando Chapa City Secretary APPROVED: ;v '.
