AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO
EXECUTE FIVE RENTAL CAR CONCESSION LEASE AGREEMENTS
WITH SOUTHWEST TEXAS LEASING CO., INC. DBA ADVANTAGE
RENT-A-CAR, INC., COASTAL BEND RENT-A-CAR, INC., NATIONAL
CAR RENTAL OF CORPUS CHRISTI, INC., DOLLAR RENT-A-CAR
SYSTEMS, INC., AND TEXAS SOUTH RENTALS, INC. DBA HERTZ CAR
RENTAL FOR THE OPERATION OF A CAR RENTAL CONCESSION AT
THE CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IN
CONSIDERATION OF PAYMENT OF THE GREATER OF A
GUARANTEED MINIMUM CONCESSION FEE OR TEN PERCENT OF
THE CONCESSIONAIRE'S GROSS MONTHLY REVENUES FOR A TERM
OF SIXTY MONTHS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION I. That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute
five Rental Car Concession Lease agreements with Southwest Texas Leasing Co., Inc. dba
Advantage Rent-A-Car, Coastal Bend Rent-A-Car, Inc., National Car Rental of Corpus Christi,
Inc., Dollar Rent-A-Car Systems, Inc., and Texas South Rentals, Inc. dba Hertz Car Rental for
the operation of a Car Rental Concession at the Corpus Christi International Airport in
consideration of payment of the greater of a guaranteed minimum concession fee or ten percent
of the Concessionaire's gross monthly revenues for a term of sixty months.
