HomeMy WebLinkAbout026641 ORD - 02/14/2006ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $2,700,000 FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION GRANT NO. 3 -48- 0051 -37 -2005 IN THE NO. 3020 AIRPORT CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE RUNWAY 13/31 REHABILITATION, PHASE II; RUNWAY 17/35 SHOULDERS AND BLAST PADS; AIRPORT DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PHASE IV; TERMINAL APRON AT CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. Appropriating $2,700,000 from the Federal Aviation Administration Grant No. 3 -48- 0051 -37 -2005 in the No. 3020 Airport Capital Improvement Fund for the Runway 13/31 Rehabilitation, Phase II; Runway 17/35 Shoulders and Blast Pads; Airport Drainage Improvements Phase IV; Terminal Apron at Corpus Christi International Airport. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the day of February, 2006.
