APPROPRIATING $309,038 FROM THE RESERVE FOR CHOKE CANYON
MAINTENANCE IN THE NO. 4050 CHOKE CANYON FUND, TRANSFERRING
TO AND APPROPRIATING INTO THE NO 4080 WATER CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR MAINTENANCE OF THE CHOKE CANYON DAM,
AS REQUIRED BY THE BUREAU OF RECLAMATION; AMENDING THE FY
2005 -06 OPERATING BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO 026385 BY
INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS BY $309,038; AND AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 026188, AS PREVIOUSLY AMENDED, WHICH APPROVED
THE FY 2004 -05 CAPITAL BUDGET, BY INCREASING THE AMOUNT
APPROVED BY $309,038; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Appropriating $309,038 from the reserve for Choke Canyon
maintenance in the No. 4050 Choke Canyon Fund, transferring to and
appropriating into the No. 4080 Water Capital Improvement Fund for
maintenance of the Choke Canyon Dam, as required by the Bureau of
Reclamation.
SECTION 2. Amending the FY 2005 -06 operating budget adopted by Ordinance
No. 026385 by increasing appropriations by $309,038.
SECTION 3. Amending Ordinance No. 026188, as previously amended, which
approved the FY 2004 -05 capital budget, by increasing the amount approved by
$309,038.

SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members,
copy attached. the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the
need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration
of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of
and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is
passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the
day of May. 2006.
