APPROPRIATING $1,043,867 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED
INTEREST EARNINGS FROM WATER 1999 CIP FUND 4083;
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER AND APPROPRIATION OF
$1,043,867 FROM THE WATER 1999 CIP FUND 4083 INTO THE
PACKERY CHANNEL CIP FUND 3277 FOR THE LOCAL COST
SHARE OF THE NORTH PADRE ISLAND PROJECT (PACKERY
CHANNEL); AMENDING FY 04 -05 CAPITAL BUDGET ADOPTED
BY ORDINANCE NO. 026188 BY INCREASING
APPROPRIATIONS BY $2,087,734; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
SECTION 1. Appropriating $1,043,867 from the unappropriated interest
earnings from Water 1999 CIP Fund 4083.
SECTION 2. Authorizing the transfer and appropriation of $1,043,867 from the
Water 1999 CIP Fund 4083 into the Packery Channel CIP Fund 3277 for the
Local Cost Share of the North Padre Island Project (Packery Channel).
SECTION 3. Amending FY 04 -05 Capital Budget Adopted By Ordinance No.
026188 By Increasing Appropriations By $2,087.734.
SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members,
copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the
need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration
of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of
and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is
passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the
IV day of May, 2006.
