HomeMy WebLinkAbout026788 ORD - 05/23/2006AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $975,210.63 FROM THE SANITARY SEWER TRUNK SYSTEM TRUST FUND NO. 250410 -4220 TO PAY AL DEVELOPMENT, INC., FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF MASTER PLAN LIFT STATION NO. 1047 (GREENFIELDS BY THE BAY), WITH 12 -FOOT DIAMETER WET WELL AND 3,500 LINEAR FEET OF 12 -INCH FORCE MAIN, EASEMENT ACQUISITION AND RELATED APPURTENANCES FOR THE GREENFIELDS BY THE BAY SERVICE AREA, LOCATED EAST OF RODD FIELD ROAD AND SOUTH OF WOOLDRIDGE ROAD; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $975,210.63 is appropriated from the Sanitary Sewer Trunk System Trust Fund No. 250410 -4220 to pay Al Development, Inc., for the reconstruction of Master Plan Lift Station No. 1047 (Greenfields by the Bay) with 12 -foot diameter wet well and 3,500 linear feet of 12 -inch force main, easement acquisition and related appurtenances for the Greenfields by the Bay Service Area, located east of Rodd Field Road and south of Wooldridge Road. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency this the 23rd of May, 2006.
