RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO ACCEPT A
$14,000 GRANT FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF STATE
HEALTH SERVICES IN THE NO. 1067 FEDERAL /STATE GRANT FUND
TO BE USED FOR THE COORDINATED COMMUNITY APPROACH TO
PROMOTE WELLNESS (CCAPWeII) TO DEVELOP A STRATEGIC
PLAN TO COMBAT OBESITY IN OUR COMMUNITY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to accept a $14,000 grant
from the Texas Department of State Health Services in the No. 1067 Federal /State
Grant Fund to be used for the Coordinated Community Approach to Promote Wellness
(CCAPWeII) to develop a strategic plan to combat obesity in our community.
SECTION 2. The City Manager, or designee, may accept, reject, agree to alter the
terms and conditions of or terminate the grant, if awarded to the City.
