HomeMy WebLinkAbout026884 ORD - 07/25/2006ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $21,315 IN HAZ -MAT RESPONSE CALLS REVENUE RECEIVED FROM TEXAS MOLECULAR INTO THE GENERAL FUND FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR PURCHASE OF HAZ -MAT CONSUMABLE EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES; AMENDING THE FY 2005 -2006 OPERATING BUDGET, ADOPTED IN ORDINANCE NO. 026385, BY INCREASING ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $21,315 EACH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $21,315 in Haz -Mat response calls revenue received from Texas Molecular is appropriated into the General Fund Fire Department for purchase of Haz -Mat consumable equipment and supplies for the Corpus Christi Fire Department. SECTION 2. That the FY 05 -06 Operating Budget, adopted by Ordinance 026385, be amended by increasing estimated revenues and appropriations by $21.315 each: SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure on this the 25th day of July 2006.
