HomeMy WebLinkAbout026985 ORD - 09/12/2006ORDINANCE APPROVING A TRANSFER AND APPROPRIATION OF $1,400,000 FROM THE WATER 2006 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FUND NO. 4090 INTO THE STORMWATER 2006 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FUND NO. 3492 FOR PROJECTS RELATED TO THE IMPROVEMENTS AND EXTENSIONS TO THE WATER, STORMWATER, AND WASTEWATER SYSTEMS; AMENDING THE FY 2004 -2005 CAPITAL BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 026188 BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS BY $1,400,000; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $1,400,000 from the Water 2006 Capital Improvement Program Fund No. 4090 is transferred into the Stormwater 2006 Capital Improvement Program Fund No. 3492 and appropriated for projects related to the improvements and extensions to the Water. Stormwater, and Wastewater Systems. SECTION 2. That the FY 2004 -2005 Capital Budget adopted by Ordinance No. 026188 Is amended by increasing appropriations by $1,400,000. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure on this the 12th day of September, 2006.
