HomeMy WebLinkAbout027013 ORD - 10/10/2006Page 1 of 2 ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING A $15,000 GRANT FROM THE COASTAL BEND COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS IN THE NO. 1051 SOLID WASTE GRANTS FUND FOR RECYCLING AND ANTI - LITTER EDUCATION, WITH A CITY MATCH OF $10,000, IN THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND, ORG. 12500, AND A TOTAL PROJECT COST OF $25,000, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. A $15,000.00 grant from the Coastal Bend Council of Governments is appropriated in the No. 1051 Solid Waste grants fund for Recycling and Anti - Litter Education, with a City match of $10,000 in the No. 1020 General Fund, Org. 12500, and a total project cost of $25,000. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the) '"day of r)(j -vt�, 2006.
