HomeMy WebLinkAbout027014 ORD - 10/10/2006AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $202,290 FROM THE ESTIMATED PROGRAM INCOME REVENUE IN THE NO. 1066 HEALTH GRANTS FUND AS STATE FISCAL YEAR 2006 -2007 PROGRAM INCOME TO FUND LABORATORY AND NURSING SERVICES FROM SEPTEMBER 1, 2006, THROUGH AUGUST 31, 2007; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. Estimated program income revenue, in the amount of $202,290, is appropriated in the No. 1066 Health Grants Fund as State fiscal year 2006 -2007 program income to fund laboratory and nursing services from September 1, 2006, through August 31 2007. SECTION 2. Upon the written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council: (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon fir reading as an emergency measure on this the 101/- day of 2006.
