HomeMy WebLinkAbout027023 ORD - 10/17/2006ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $418,357.79 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED INTEREST EARNINGS AND UNAPPROPRIATED BOND PROCEEDS FROM SEAWALL CIP FUND 3270 FOR THE SEAWALL RECONSTRUCTION CONTRACT B -2A AND CONTRACT D; AMENDING THE CAPITAL BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 026997 BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS BY $418,357.79; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $418,357.79 is appropriated from unappropriated interest earnings and unappropriated bond proceeds from Seawall CIP Fund 3270 for the Seawall Reconstruction Contract B -2A and Contract D. SECTION 2. That the appropriations in the Capital Budget adopted by Ordinance No 026997 are increased by $418,357.79. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 17th day of October, 2006.
