A GRANT APPLICATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000 TO THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, GOVERNOR'S DIVISION OF
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT, HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS GRANT PROGRAM FOR PUBLIC
AWARENESS BROCHURES, SCHOOL BOOK COVERS,
PRODUCTION AND BROADCAST OF PUBLIC SERVICE
ANNOUNCEMENTS, AND TO CONDUCT AN EMERGENCY
RESPONSE EXERCISE, WITH A CITY SOFT MATCH OF $4,000.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SUCTION 1. The City Manager; or the City Manager's designee, is authorized to submit
a want application in the amount of $20,000.00 to the Texas Department of Public
Suety. Governor's Division of Emergency Management, Hazardous Materials
Emergency Preparedness Grant Program for public awareness brochures, school book
covers, production and broadcast of public service announcements, and to conduct an
emergency response exercise, with a City soft match of $4,000.
