AUTHORIZING THE PROCUREMENT AND GENERAL SERVICES
MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO PARTICIPATE IN AN
INTERLOCAL PURCHASING AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF EL
PASO WHEN IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI,
WHEREAS, The City of Corpus Christi, a political subdivision of Texas, pursuant to
authority granted under Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code, desires to
participate in an interlocal purchasing agreement with the City of El Paso, on a voluntary
basis when in the best interest of the City of Corpus Christi and when beneficial to the
taxpayers through anticipated savings and efficiencies to be realized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Procurement and General Services Manager, or his designee, is
authorized and directed to sign and deliver all necessary requests and other
documents, including a participation agreement, in connection with an interlocal
purchasing agreement with the City of El Paso when in the best interest of the City of
Corpus Christi.
