HomeMy WebLinkAbout027118 ORD - 01/23/2007Page 1 of 2 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $405,190.00 IN SURPLUS RESERVES FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED FUND BALANCE IN THE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES FUND 4670 FY 2006-2007 BUDGET FOR DEPARTMENTAL REORGANIZATION AND MODIFYING THE CURRENT BUSINESS METHODOLOGY; CHANGING THE FY 2006-2007 BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE 026908 BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS BY $405,190.00; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $405,190.00 in surplus revenues is appropriated from the unappropriated fund balance In the Development Services Fund 4670 FY 2006-2007 Budget for departmental reorganization and modifying the current business methodology. SECTION 2. That FY 2006-2007 Operating Budget adopted by Ordinance 026980 is changed by increasing appropriations by $405,190.00. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five council members, copy attached. the City Council finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and suspends the Charter 'ule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency this the 23rd of January 2007.
