APPROPRIATING $24,458.42 INTEREST EARNINGS FROM THE GRANDE
COMMUNICATIONS SECURITY FUND IN THE GENERAL FUND;
TRANSFERRING TO AND APPROPRIATING IN THE CC DIGITAL COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FUND 4800 FOR FIBER CONSTRUCTION;
AMENDING THE FY 06-07 OPERATING BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE
NO. 026908 BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS BY $24,458.42; AMENDING
CC DIGITAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FUND 4800 TO
INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS AND REVENUES BY $24,458.42 EACH; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $24,458.42 interest earnings from Grande Communications
Security Fund in the General Fund is appropriated, transferred to and appropriated
in the CC Digital Community Development Corporation Fund 4800 for fiber
construction.
SECTION 2. That the FY 2006-2007 operating budget adopted by Ordinance
026908 is amended to increase appropriations by $24,458.42.
SECTION 3. That the CC Digital Community Development Corporation Fund 4800
is amended to increase both appropriations and revenues by $24,458.42 each.
SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for
immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City
affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting
upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes
effect upon first reading as an emergency measure March 20, 2007.

emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and
voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or
at the present meeting of the City Council.
