HomeMy WebLinkAbout027219 ORD - 04/17/2007ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $25,000 FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE FUNDING OF THE CLICK IT OR TICKET (CIOT) SELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROJECT (STEP) WI'T'HIN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT IN THE NO. 1061 POLICE GRANTS FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $25,000 from the Texas Department of Transportation is appropriated in the No. 1061 Police Grants Fund for funding of the Click It or Ticket (CLOT) Selective Traffic Enforcement Project (STEP) within the Police Department. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council Members, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate aeon for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs; and, (2) suspends that Charter rule which requires an ordinance to be considered and voted upon at two regular meetings, so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect as an emergency measure upon its first reading on this the 17th of April, 2007.
