That $127,500 from the Executive Office of the President, Office of Nional Drug Control Policy is appropriated in the No. 1061 Police Grants Fund to support the Police Department's role in the Texas Coastal Corridor Initiative in the Hauston High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area. STION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council Members, the Coy Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs; and, (2) suspends that Charter rule which requires an ordinance to be considered and voted upon at two regular meetings, so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect as an emergency measure upon its first reading on this the 8th of May, 2007. Therefore, I/we request that you suspend said Charter rule and finally pass this ordinance on the date of its introduction, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
