HomeMy WebLinkAbout027246 ORD - 05/08/2007ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $726,000 FROM THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND TO AND APf ROFRIATING IN THE NO. 1067 PARKS AND RECREATION GRANT FIND AS CITY REQUIRED MATCHING FUNDS FOR THE 2006-2007 SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICES PROGRAM; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $725,000 in the No. 1020 General Fund is transferred to and appropriated in the No. 1067 Parks and Recreation Grant Fund as City required matching funds for the 2006-2007 Senior Community Services Program. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 8th day of May, 2007 ATTEST: Armando Chapa City Secretary APPROVED: May 3. 2007 Lisa Agu�rr Assistant City Attorney for City Attorney THE TY OF CORPUS CHRISTI kms!
