APPROPRIATING $2,818,150 FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION GRANT NO. 3-48-0051-38-2006 IN THE NO. 3020
AIRPORT CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE
REHABILITATION OF WEST GA APRON, PHASE 1, REHABILITATION
OF AIR CARRIER APRON AREAS, DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS,
PHASE V, ACQUISITION OF RUNWAY SWEEPER, CONDUCTING
PLANING STUDY (BENEFIT/COST ANALYSIS TO EXTEND RUNWAY
13/31), REHABILITATION OF RUNWAY 17/35, AND REHABILITATION
OF TAXIWAY SYSTEMS AT CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL
AIRPORT; AMENDING FY 2006-2007 CAPITAL BUDGET ADOPTED
BY ORDINANCE NO. 026997 TO INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS BY
$2,818,150; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $2,818,150 is appropriated from the Federal Aviation Administration
Grant No. 3-48-0051-38-2006 in the No. 3020 Airport Capital Improvement Fund for the
Rehabilitation of West GA Apron, Phase I, Rehabilitation of Air Carrier Apron Areas,
Drainage Improvements, Phase V. Acquisition of Runway Sweeper, Conducting
Planning Study (benefit/cost analysis to extend Runway 13/31), Rehabilitation of
Runway 17/35, and Rehabilitation of Taxiway Systems at Corpus Christi International
Airport.
SECON 2. That FY 2006-2007 Capital Budget adopted by Ordinance No. 026997 is
amended by increasing appropriations by $2,818,150.
SECVON 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for
immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs
and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon
ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect
upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 8th day of May, 2007.

at the present meeting of the City Council.
