AMENDING RESOLUTION 027191 BY INCREASING THE CITY MATCH
TO $44,736 WITH $13,200 IN-KIND SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING
THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$107,594 TO THE STATE OF TEXAS, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION
FOR YEAR 8 FUNDING AVAILABLE UNDER THE VIOLENCE
AGAINST WOMEN ACT (VAWA) FUND FOR THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT'S FAMILY VIOLENCE UNIT FOR A TOTAL PROJECT
COST OF $165,630 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR THE
CITY MANAGER'S DESIGNEE TO APPLY FOR, ACCEPT, REJECT,
ALTER OR TERMINATE THE GRANT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CH*STI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Resolution #027191 is amended by increasing the City match to
$44,736 wIth $13,200 in-kind services and that the City Manager, or his designee, is
authorized to submit a grant application in the amount of $107,594 to the State of
Texas, Cr+kninal Justice Division for Year 8 funding available under the Violence Against
Wornen act (VAWA) Fund for the Police Department's Family Violence Unit for a total
proj0ct cost of $165,530 and is authorized to apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate
the grant,
SECTION2. In the event of the Toss or misuse of these funds, the City of Corpus
Chrii assures that the funds will be retumed, in full, to the State of Texas, Office of the
Governor, Criminal Justice Division
