HomeMy WebLinkAbout027338 RES - 07/17/2007RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ADJUSTMENT OF PARKS, RECREATION, CULTURAL, AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES RENTAL AND RECREATIONAL FEES; ADDING NEW RENTAL FEES AND RECREATIONAL FEES FOR - FISCAL YEAR 2007-2008; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE Whereas, Section 36-3 of the Code of Ordinances requires City Council approval by motion or resolution for creation of any new rental rates, or increase of existing rental rates by more than 25 percent, for parks and recreation department facility rental; and Whereas, Section 36-7 of the Code of Ordinances requires City Council approval by motion or resolution for creation of any new user fees, or increase of existing user fees by more than 25 percent, for parks and recreation department facility use; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The City Council approves the adjusted rental rates and recreational fees for the parks and recreation department use fees, as shown in Exhibit A, for Fiscal Year 2007-08. SECTION 2. The City Council pprov s new parks and recreation department recreational use fees as shown in Exhibit B attached, for Fiscal Year 2007-08. SECTION 3. This resolution is effective August 1, 2007. SECTION 4. Publication will be made in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas. SECTION 5. The City Council intends that every section, paragraph, subdivision, phrase, word and provision of this resolution shall be given full force and effect for its purpose. If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this resolution is held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, that judgment shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision ofthis resolution.
