AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE A
ONE-YEAR LEASE OPTION AGREEMENT WITH THE U.S.
GOVERNMENT ON BEHALF OF THE U.S. COAST GUARD FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL
AIRPORT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute a one-year
lease option agreement with the U. S. Government on behalf of the U.S. Coast Guard
for approximately 16 acres of real property located at the Corpus Christi International
Airport. The parcel is under consideration for use as an aircraft hangar, apron, and
office building for the United States Coast Guard. Should the option be exercised within
the time period provided, the City and the U. S. Government, or its assignee, will
negotiate a long-term lease, anticipated to be for a period of 40 years, with two optional
10 -year lease term renewals.
