AN ORDINANCE
CHANGING THE CORPUS CHRISTI BUSINESS AND JOB
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (4A BOARD) BUDGET BY
APPROPRIATING $443,015 FROM PRIOR YEAR UNSPENT FUNDS AND
APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL $200,000 FROM THE 4A BOARD
FUND BALANCE FOR SMALL BUSINESS SUPPORT; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 'I . That the Corpus Christi Business and Job Development Corporation
budget is changed by appropriating $443,015 from prior year unspent funds and
appropriating an additional $200,000 from the 4A Board fund balance for small business
support.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five council members, copy
attached, the City Council finds and declares an emergency due to the need for
immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs
and suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon
ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take
effect upon first reading as an emergency this the 28th day of August, 2007.

emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and

at the present meeting of the City Council.
