LIBRARIES; ARIES; AND $4,188.86 FROM UNAPPROPRIATED IATED INTEREST
EARNINGS FROM THE LIBRARY AI Y CIP FUND NO, 3210; CHANGING FY
2006-2007 CAPITAL BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NCE No. 026997
TO INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS IATIONS BY $29,138.86; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS JS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $29,138.86 is appropriated into the Library CIP Fund No. 3210,
Project No. 120095, for improvements to the Par d ale Branch Library from the following
sources: $25,000.0O from the Friends of Corpus Christi Public Libraries; and $4,138.86
from unappropriated interest earnings from the Library CIP Fund No. 3210.
SECTION 2. That the FY 2006-2007 Capital Budget adopted by Ordinance No. 026997
is changed to increase appropriations by $29,138.86.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for
immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs
and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon
ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect
upon first reading as an ememergencymeasure this the 9th day of October, 200 7.

emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and

at the present meeting of the City Council.
