TO APPROPRIATE $20,000 FROM THE UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE IN
THE MAINTENANCE SERVICES FUND 5110 FOR ROOF F I EPAIF S AT THE
ASIAN CULTURES MUSEUM; CHANGING ORDINANCE NO. 027352 WHICH
ADOPTED THE FY 2007-08 OPERATING BUDGET TO INCREASE
APPROPRIATIONS IATIONS $20,000; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $20,000 from the Unreserved Fund Balance in the
Maintenance Services Fund 5110 is appropriated for roof repairs at the Asian
Cultures Museum.
SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 027352 which adopted the FY 2007-08
operating budget is changed to increase appropriations by $20,000.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members,
copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the
need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration
of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of
and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is
passe and takes e e t upon first reading as an emergency measure this the
day of , 2007.

emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and

suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or
at the present meeting of the City Council.
