HomeMy WebLinkAbout027484 ORD - 11/20/2007AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $202,550 FROM THE ESTIMATED PROGRAM INCOME REVENUE IN THE NO. 1066 HEALTH GRANTS FUND AS STATE FISCAL YEAR 2007-2008 PROGRAM INCOME TO FUND LABORATORY AND PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES FOR THE PERIOD OF SEPTEMBER 1, 2007, THROUGH AUGUST 31, 2008; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. An ordinance appropriating $202,550 from the estimated program income revenue in the No. 1066 Health Grants Fund as State fiscal year 2007- 2008 program income to fund laboratory and public health services for the period of September 1, 2007, through August 31, 2008; and declaring an emergency. SECTION 2. Upon the written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council: (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed a I takes effect.on first reading as an emergency measure on this the 40 , day of /YQfi!/Iliem.4., , 2007.
