HomeMy WebLinkAbout027502 ORD - 11/20/2007Page 1 of 2 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING I IATING $884,600 FROM THE TEXAS COMMISSION ON ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY IN THE NO. 1071 COMMUNITY ITY ENRICHMENT T FUND FOR AIR QUALITY PLANNING ACTIVITIES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $884600 is appropriated from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in the No. 1071 Community Enrichment Fund for air quality planning activities. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five council members, copy attached, the City Council finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency this the 20th of November, 2007.
