AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $6,846.75 FROM THE WATER ARTERIAL
TRANSMISSION & GRID MAIN TRUST FUND NO. 540450-21805-4030
TO PAY THE AL DEVELOPMENT, INC. AMENDED REIMBURSEMENT
REQUEST FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THREE (3) ADDITIONAL 12 -
INCH GATE VALVES AND BOXES ON THE 12 -INCH PVC WATER
GRID MAIN FOR AIRLINE CROSSING UNIT 1; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $6,846.75 is appropriated from the Water Arterial Transmission
Grid Main Trust Fund No. 540450-21805-4030 to pay Al Development, Int.'s amended
reimbursement request for the installation of three (3) additional 12 -inch gate valves and
boxes on the 12 -inch PVC water grid main for Airline Crossing Unit 1, located along
Slough Road.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five council members, copy
attached, the City Council finds and declares an emergency due to the need for
immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs
and suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon
ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take
effect upon first reading as an emergency this the 12th of February, 2008.

emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and
voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings: Uwe, therefore, request that you

at the present meeting of the City Council.
