HomeMy WebLinkAbout027654 ORD - 04/15/2008Page 1 of 2 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING IATING $209,484.00 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED IATED FUND BALANCE DESIGNATED FOR MUNICIPAL COURT FACILITY SECURITY, INCLUDING TWO DEPUTY CITY MARSHALS, WARRANT ROUND UP OVERTIME, PORTION OF LEASED SPACE AT WILSON PLAZA, AND TEMPORARY Y SECURITY SERVICES; CHANGING FY 2007-08 OPERATING BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE 027352 TO INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS IATIONS BY $209,484.0O; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $209484OO from the unappropriated fund balance designated for Municipal Court Facility Security is appropriated for two Deputy City Marshals, Warrant Round Up overtime, portion of leaned space at Wilson Plaza and temporary security services. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 027352 which adopted the FY 2007-2008 Operating Budget is changed to increase appropriations by $209,484.O0. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five council members, copy attached, the City Council finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency this the 15th of April, 2008.
