A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE NAMING G F THE SOUTHSIDE LIBRARY AF Y T THE
"DR. CL TILDE P. GARCIA PUBLIC LIBRARY," AS RECOMMENDED
BY THE DIRECTOR OF LIBRARIES AND THE CITY MANAGER, ER, UP I
DEDICATION.
WHEREAS, Dr. Clotilde P. Garcia ("Dr. Cleo") was a scholar and a published author;
WHEREAS, Dr. Cleo supported the Corpus Christi Public Library;
WHEREAS, Dr. Cleo was a physician and surgeon and worked for the betterment of
Corpus Christi;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The naming of the southside library to the "Dr. Clotilde P. Garcia Public
Library," as recommended by the Director of Libraries and the City Manager, is
authorized upon dedication.
