APPROPRIATING $178,226 FROM THE UNRESERVED FUI D
BALANCE IN NO 9010 CRIME CONTROL DISTRICT FUND FOR
"ONE-TIME" EXPENDITURES I# THE FY 2007-2008 OPERATING
BUDGET, AND CHANGING THE FY 2007-2008 OPERATING BUDGET
ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE C 027352 BY INCREASING
APPROPRIATIONS BY $178,226; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $178,226 is appropriated from the unreserved fund balance in the
No. 9010 Crime Control District Fund for "one-time" expenditures in the FY 2007-2008
operating budget.
SEC1ON 2. That the FY 2007-2008 Operating Budget, adopted by Ordinance No.
027352, is changed by increasing appropriations by $178,228.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council Members, the
City Council finds and declares an emergency clue to the need for immediate
action for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs; and, (2) suspends
that Charter rule which requires an ordinance to be considered and voted upon at two
regular meetings, so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect as an emergency
measure upon its first reading, this, the 29th day of April, 2008.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the attached ordinance, an
emergency exists requiring suspension of that Charter rule which requires an
ordinance to be considered and voted upon at two regular meetings. Therefore, 1/we
request that you suspend said Charter rule and finally pass this ordinance on the date
of its introduction, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
