AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $202,1'1 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED FUND
BALANCE IN THE NO. 1030 HOTEL OCCUPANCY TAX FUND FOR AN
INCENTIVE PAYMENT TO THE CORPUS CHRISTI CONVENTION AND
VISITORS BUREAU; CHANGING THE FY 2007-08 OPERATING
BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE 027352 TO INCREASE
APPROPRIATIONS BY $202,116; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $202,116 from the Unappropriated Fund Balance in the No. 1030
Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund is appropriated for an incentivepayment to the Corpus
Christi Convention and Visitors Bureau.
SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 027352 which adopted the FY 2007-2008ratin

Budget is changed to increase appropriations by $202,'11 .
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five council members, copy
attached, the City Council finds and declares an emergency due to the need for
immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs
and suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon

emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and
voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings: liwe, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or
at the present meeting of the City Council.

representative), hereby certify to the City Council and other appropriate officers that the money
required for the current fiscal year's portion ofthe contract, agreement, obligation or expenditure
described below is in the Treasury to the credit of the Fund specified below, from which it is to be
drawn, and has not been appropriated for any other purpose. Future payments are subject to
annual appropriation by the City Council.
