APPROPRIATING $2,234,346 FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION GRANT NO. 3-48-0051-40-2008 IN THE NO.
3020 AIRPORT CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND TO
REHABILITATE TAXIWAY SYSTEMS, PHASE II; MODIFY
AIRCRAFT RESCUE & FIRE FIGHTING BUILDING, PHASE 1;
CONSTRUCT PERIMETER SERVICE ROAD, PHASE I; AND
CONSTRUCT MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT BUILDING, PHASE I,
AT CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT; AMENDING
THE FY2008 CAPITAL BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO.
027546 TO INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS BY $2,234,346; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. A grant of $2,234,346 from the Federal Aviation Administration, Grant
No. 3-48-0051-40-2008, is appropriated in the No. 3020 Airport Capital Improvement
Fund to rehabilitate taxiway systems, Phase 11; modify Aircraft Rescue & Fire
Fighting Building, Phase 1; construct perimeter service road, Phase I; and construct
maintenance equipment building, Phase 1, at Corpus Christi International Airport.
SECTION 2. The FY2008 Capital Budget, adopted by Ordinance No. 027546, is
amended to increase appropriations by $2,234,346.
SECTION 3. Upon the written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, the City Council: (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for
immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City
affairs, and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting
upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is pas d and takes
effect upon first read�ing as an emergency measure on this the day of
, 2008.

emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and
voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
