AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO ACCEPT A
GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $44,206.00 AND TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT AND ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS WITH THE TEXAS
STATE LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES COMMISSION FOR THE LOAN
STAR LIBRARIES GRANT TO BE USED AS FOLLOWS: $41,206.00
FOR BOOKS FOR ALL LIBRARIES; $2,000.00 FOR ARCHIVAL
SUPPLIES FOR LA RETAMA CENTRAL LIBRARY; AND $1,000.00
FOR FURNITURE FOR THE ANITA & W. T. NEYLAND PUBLIC
LIBRARY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to accept a grant in the
amount of $44,206.00 and to execute a contract and all related documents with the
Texas State Library and Archives Commission for the Loan Star Libraries grant to be
used as follows: $41,206.00 for books for all libraries; $2,000.00 for archival supplies
for La Retama Central Library; and $1,000.00 for furniture for the Anita & W. T. Neyland
Public Library.
