ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $2,500 IN THE GENERAL FUND NO. 1020 FROM MONTHLY
RENTAL FEES FROM TRT HOTEL COMPANY, LLC; CHANGING FY 2008-2009
OPERATING BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE 027776 TO INCREASE
ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $2,500 EACH; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $2,500 is appropriated in the General Fund No. 1020 from monthly
rental fees from TRT Hotel Company, LLC; changing FY 2008-2009 Operating Budget
adopted by Ordinance 027776 to increase estimated revenues and appropriations by
$2,500 each.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for
immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs
and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon
ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance�))$� passed nd takes effect
upon first reading as an emergency measure this the /rday of 44 &A , 2009.

emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and
voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or
at the present meeting of the City Council.

I, the Director of Financial Services of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas (or his/her duly
authorized representative), hereby certify to the City Council and other appropriate officers that
the money required for the current fiscal year's portion of the contract, agreement, obligation or
expenditure described below is in the Treasury to the credit of the Fund specified below, from
which it is to be drawn, and has not been appropriated for any other purpose. Future payments
are subject to annual appropriation by the City Council.

APPROPRIATING $400,000 IN THE NO. 1061 POLICE GRANTS FUND
FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS GOVERNOR'S DIVISION OF
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT, FOR FUNDING ADDITIONAL GRANT
FUNDING UNDER THE FY 07 PUBLIC SAFETY INTEROPERABLE
COMMUNICATIONS (PSIC) GRANT PROJECT TO BE USED FOR THE
ENHANCEMENT OF VOICE INTEROPERABILITY ON THE 800 MHz
RADIO SYSTEM WITH A CITY MATCH OF $100,000; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $400,000 is appropriated in the No. 1061 Police Grants Fund from
the State of Texas Governor's Division of Emergency Management, for additional
grant funding under the FY 07 Public Safety Interoperable Communications (PSIC)
Grant project to be used for the enhancement of voice interoperability on the 800 MHz
radio system with a City match of $100,000.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council Members, the
City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate
action for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs; and, (2) suspends
that Charter rule which requires an ordinance to be considered and voted upon at two
regular meetings, so that this ordinance assed and takes effect as an emergency
measure upon its first reading, this the day of June, 2009.
